A Biomedical Implant is a man-made device designed to replace or support a damaged biological structure, or to improve the function of an existing biological structure. Biomedical implants are transplanted biomedical tissues. Sometimes, the implants are bioactive such that they are either implantable pills or drug-eluting stents.
